Kjerstin Dunk - President
100 Mile House, BC
I’ve lived in 100 Mile House with my family for the past 20 years, having grown up in Vancouver, studied in Montreal, and worked in Toronto. My husband and I have 3 daughters, now 14, 17, and 21. I was a La Leche League leader for 12 years and find the field and practice of supporting infant development fascinating. As a sole charge consultant, I really appreciate the connections to other consultants around the province through involvement with the association.

Powell River, BC
I have lived in Powell River for almost 30 years after growing up in New Zealand. Working in the ECE field for over 25 years, I began in private daycare and also worked in a young parents program. I have been in Infant Development and Supported Child Development with inclusion PR for the last 6 years. I am a single Mom to an 8 year old daughter and enjoy the outdoors, including camping, hiking and biking. I love being connected to other professionals and feel we can all support and learn from each other.

I have worked with children of all ages over the past 30 years, most recently as an Early Childhood Educator with infants and toddlers. I am Mom to five wonderful children and I currently work as a Consultant with Infant Development and Supported Child Development programs on the Sunshine Coast. I have a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care degree from the University of Victoria and I am working on completing my Masters of Education at the University of British Columbia. I also teach infant massage as well as Circle of Security and Positive Discipline parenting programs.

Shelley Anderson
Prince George, BC
I have worked as a consultant as part of a self-directed team in the Infant Development Program in Prince George since August 2002. In the spring of 2011 I was hired as the Regional Advisor for IDP for the North region, and combine these two roles. Since I first started with IDP I have had some involvement in our professional association in some capacity – as a regional rep, secretary, and membership co-coordinator. In my personal life I like to walk, read, hike and practice yoga.I recently became a certified yoga teacher and teach yoga in both my own home studio and in a community studio some evenings and weekends. I am a parent of 3 grown children, mother-in-law (or ‘mother in-common-law’, as the case may be) to their three partners. I also have 2 wonderful grandchildren that I love spending time with whenever we can get together.
